Project Management – G4S Tower Hamlet Schools PFI
- 19 schools across East London
- Assets replacement programme including upgrades to flooring, decorating, windows and external facades
- 7 week Summer Programme
Callidus Project Management were commissioned by G4S to deliver the lifecycle works for Tower Hamlets Schools in London. As with most education projects the works had to be completed in the summer term time which provided a challenging timeframe as there had been a delay in financial approvals.
We provided a Project Manager who was seconded directly into the existing G4S Facilities Team with the responsibility of co-ordinating and managing a programme of projects across the Tower Hamlets property portfolio.
Our duties included pre-Start meetings, managing Principal Contractors, assisting with scope queries. Manage reporting on the contractors against programme. Daily site inspections. Weekly reporting to the Tower Hamlets Authority. Contract negotiation, ensuring best value. Formal snagging meeting with client, schools Governors and principle contractor.

Tower Hamlets Lifecycle 2016
We became an integrated member of the G4S Facilities Management Team responsible for maintenance of the Tower Hamlet Schools. This included the provision of an outline programme for responsible lifecycle works, and the identification of key activities and associated risks.
Callidus introduced a weekly report update regarding progress, cost, contractor performance and site safety, as well as providing reassurance (or early warning) to the Client as to the overall performance of supply chain partners.
Callidus are quick to establish strong working relationships with our collaborative approach to project management. By thoroughly understanding our Client’s key drivers and expectations we are able to more effectively communicate with each stakeholder. We ensure clarity of roles and responsibilities, and issue clear and concise information throughout the lifecycle of any project.
