Our Solution

As part of our role, Callidus carried out a review of the proposed design and produced a pre-construction information document and hazard register. This was then communicated to all project team members, stakeholders and proposed contractors via an online portal.

The project was notified to HSE and the Principal Contractor’s construction phase plan was formally reviewed prior to being accepted in time to allow the construction phase to commence as planned.

Benefits of using Callidus

Having worked with the design team members previously on numerous ASDA projects, Callidus had developed good, strong working relationships with each supplier. Our consultants have an excellent track record of working in collaboration with other businesses and are able to add extensive industry experience to each commission.

For the Britannia House project, Callidus also advised on the procurement of further surveys and investigations that were required as part of the PCI preparation process. This included the appointment of a specialist chemical analyst to undertake bacterial testing of the drainage systems and fume cupboard extract due to the building’s previous use as an NHS Trust’s Pathology Department.
